disconnect!!

I have known him for the past 18 yrs now. In spite of the time and the lack of physical meetings we have been close and in fact have come closer only. Th reason for the continuation of the friendship was that our thought ideas, short term goals, desires, needs were very similar. Today I met him after some time and it was the first time since he has taken admission in MBA. He was talking about what is going on and I realised that what he was talking was absolutely not what I would have talked about had i been in his place. He talked about the great educational qualification of his proffesors where as i wanted to hear what contributuion they have made not just technically but from a holistic point. He talked about the great individuals there are and how many things they are doing whereas i wanted to learn how these individuals work so well in a team inspite of thier individual brilliance..and on and on and on...he talked about the kid he is mentoring and what he is trying to teach that kid where as i just wanted to know from him that what has he learnt from that kid...
